Five Ways to Actually Use Us

Most people hire a travel advisor for one trip and never find out what else was sitting on the table. Here is the whole table.

There is a version of working with me that most clients never see. They call about Italy in June, we build something extraordinary, they come home glowing — and then they wait eleven months to call again. Meanwhile the membership that would have covered their four other trips, the newsletter with the suite upgrade at the exact resort they were eyeing, and the guide their sister-in-law keeps asking to borrow all sat quietly in the background.

That is on me. So consider this the full menu, written plainly. Five ways in, each built for a different kind of traveler and a different kind of year. Some of you will use one. A few of you will use all five, and those are the people who get the most out of me by a wide margin.

Good trips happen. Exceptional travel is designed — and designed travel starts with knowing which door you are walking through.

Membership · Self-Booking

Master Reserve

For the traveler who books their own hotels and has never once been upgraded for it.

You know the trip. Three nights in Paris, you already know the hotel, you do not need an itinerary and you do not want to pay a planning fee for a booking you could make in four minutes. Fair. But make it through me and those four minutes are worth several hundred dollars.

Master Reserve gives you access to my preferred-partner rates and VIP treatment at Four Seasons, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, Relais & Châteaux, and the full Virtuoso portfolio. Same room, same nights, same price or better — except now there is daily breakfast for two, a property credit, a welcome amenity, early check-in and late checkout when the house allows it, and a room upgrade when one exists. The hotel knows you are coming and knows who sent you. That is not a coupon. That is a different arrival.

$500 per year · pays for itself in roughly two nights

One more thing: refer a client who books, and half your next planning fee is on me.

Master Elite

For the traveler with four trips on the calendar and no interest in planning a single one of them.

This is the top of the house. One annual enrollment, and then you stop counting. A weekend in Charleston, spring break in Anguilla, a milestone birthday in the Maldives, a work trip you would like to not hate — plan as many as you want, all for one price. No per-trip planning fee, no mental math about whether a four-day getaway is “worth” calling me about. It is. Call me.

Elite members also get the Ultimate Bucket List package: once a year we sit down and actually map the big one. Not a daydream — a real plan, with seasons, lead times, and the two properties that require booking eighteen months out. That conversation alone is why people renew.

  • Everything in Master Reserve, included
  • Unlimited trip planning, all year
  • Annual Ultimate Bucket List planning
  • Invitation to Virtuoso’s Wanderlist
  • Last-minute planning fees waived
  • Enhanced Priority Trip Planning
  • Reduced airfare booking fee
  • And a few things I keep for members

Enhanced Priority is the perk nobody appreciates until the day they need it. When a storm reroutes you, when a property goes sideways, when you need an answer at 6 a.m. on a Sunday — Elite goes first in line. Every time.

Corporate · Groups & Incentives

Incentive Trips for Your Company

For the executive who has been quietly dreading the words “president’s club” since January.

Rewarding your top performers with a trip is a wonderful idea right up until someone has to source eighty room nights, negotiate a group air contract across three record locators, chase a rooming list, and explain to the CFO why the resort wants a deposit in April. That someone should not be your head of sales. It should be me.

I handle corporate incentive and group travel end to end: property sourcing and site inspection, contract and attrition terms, group air with pass-through authorization, welcome events, private dining, off-site activities, and the on-the-ground management that keeps a hundred adults moving in roughly the same direction. Recent work includes a five-day Caribbean incentive running north of eighty room nights, fully contracted and flown.

Your people remember the trip. Your leadership remembers that it ran clean. Those are two different wins and you get both.

First Class Finds

The only email in your inbox that reliably makes you money.

Every week I go through what my partners are actually offering — not the public-facing noise, the real ones — and send out a hand-curated selection of standout hotel, resort, and cruise offers from around the world. Resort credits, fourth-night-free, suite upgrades, reduced deposits, sailings with air included. Real savings, sourced directly from the luxury partners I trust.

It is short, it is honest, and if nothing good came through that week I will tell you that too. Read it in ninety seconds. Forward the one that catches your eye. That is the whole system.

Plenty of clients have booked a trip they were not planning because a Tuesday email put the right property in front of them at the right number. That is not impulse. That is timing, and timing is most of this business.

Publication · The Sophisticate’s Guides

Look Books

Everything I learned on the ground, before you ask me a single question.

I am on the road roughly a third of the year, and I have walked ninety percent of what I sell. The Look Books are what comes home with me: destination guides built entirely from firsthand time in the place. Which Costa Smeralda property actually suits your family and which one is gorgeous and wrong for you. Where to eat that is not on the list everyone has. What a day genuinely looks like, hour by hour, in September versus July.

The Sophisticate’s Guide to Sardinia opened the series, with the Italy edition alongside it and more in progress. They are beautiful, they are specific, and they are meant to be used — dog-eared, annotated, argued over at the kitchen table while you decide.

Read one before we talk and our first call gets twice as productive, because you will already know what you want. That is the point.

Elite, and let’s talk this week

Your time is the only thing you cannot buy back

Everything above is really one offer wearing five outfits. You have a finite number of good weeks in a year and a finite number of years in which you will want to fly eleven hours to get somewhere. I would like you to spend those weeks in the right place, with the right people, having made approximately zero spreadsheets to get there.

Pick the door that fits this year. You can always move to another one.

Not sure which one is yours?

Write to me at michelle@mastertravel.org and let’s get a conversation rolling. Tell me roughly what the next twelve months look like and I will tell you straight which door fits. Sometimes the honest answer is “none of these yet,” and I will tell you that too.
